How long does the enquiry take?

The processing period of a request can take up to one month, in exceptional cases longer - you will receive a response at the latest three months after receipt of your request.

How is the response given?

After your request has been processed, you will receive the response either digitally or by mail.

You have the right to obtain information about whether your personal data is being processed and receive access to the data that the AUDI AG has stored about you as a data subject.

You have the right to obtain the rectification of inaccurate and incomplete personal data. This can be due to incorrect information in your master data. In most cases, no further proof is required for this rectification. If your name has changed, e.g. in case of a marriage, you will need to provide pursuant documentation.

You have the right, if the requirements specified in Art. 17 GDPR are met, to request the erasure of your personal data from the AUDI AG. Additionally, you may request erasure of your personal data, if we process data based on your consent and you withdraw your consent.

We recommend that you submit a request to exercise your right to erasure after you obtained access to your personal data. In this case, please contact us by sending the request to erasure and the request ID from the previous inquiry.

If you do not exercise your right to access in advance, please specify your request to erasure, the precise processing activity, stating your data (at least: first name, surname, address, date of birth).

You have the right to request the restriction of processing your personal data, if the requirements specified in Art. 18 GDPR are met. This is the case, if you dispute the correctness of your personal data. You may request the restriction of processing your personal data for the time period the AUDI AG is verifying your personal data.

If the processing is done based upon an outweighing interest, you have the right to object (on grounds relating to your particular situation) to the processing of your personal data at any time. An objection is permissible pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR if the processing is either carried out in the public interest or in the exercising of an official authority or in a justified interest of the AUDI AG or of a third party. In the case of an objection, we kindly ask you to inform us about your reasoning for objecting the data processing. Additionally, you have the right to object to the processing of personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time.

If you object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes, the AUDI AG will permanently store your contact data (name and address) in an internal marketing blacklist. If you have given the AUDI AG your consent for direct marketing purposes, this remains in effect until you exercise your right of restriction and withdraw your consent.

If the data is processed based on a consent or a fulfilment of a contractual agreement and the data is processed using an automated processing system, you have the right, pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.

If the data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent for future data processing at any time and free of charge.

You have the right to lodge a complaint to a data supervisory authority, if you consider the processing of your personal data illegitimate.
